Louisa Hart

Louisa is a devoted mother of two teenagers with over 18 years of experience working with children and young people in education and vocational settings. Growing up with dyslexia, she understands firsthand the challenges many face in school and life.
Deeply passionate about empowering others, Louisa believes neurodiversity is a gift and works to help both young people and adults see their strengths as superpowers. She is a trained hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner, and drama therapist—therapies that helped her regain control and well-being during her own journey.
Louisa understands that many feel therapy means there’s something wrong with them. She believes this isn’t true—often, life's challenges, the people we choose to have around us, and an education system not designed for everyone can contribute to these difficulties. She creates a calm, non-judgmental space where clients can truly discover their strengths and find their path forward.
Thank you for taking the brave first step. Louisa is committed to supporting you on your journey to resilience and positive change, with genuine care and support.

My hypnotherapy work is covered by the National Hypnotherapy Society and the National Council for Hypnotherapy”.

Louisa is qualified in NLP, hypnotherapy and drama therapy.

How I Work with Children and Young People

I utilize a holistic and creative approach to support children and young people in overcoming challenges such as anxiety and phobias, and in building confidence and self-belief. My work integrates music, drama, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and hypnotherapy, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Using Music and Drama Therapeutically

I harness the power of music and drama as therapeutic tools to help young people express themselves, explore their feelings, and develop confidence. These creative methods can make therapy engaging and accessible, especially for children who may find it difficult to articulate their emotions verbally.

I use NLP and Hypnotherapy and have successfully worked with clients  with self harm, body image, confidence, social aniexty, school refusal, food refusal, issues relating to bullying in school, family break up, grief and sexual assault. With my training in NLP and hypnotherapy, I guide children and teens to reframe negative thought patterns, enhance their self-esteem, and develop a positive outlook. Hypnotherapy, in particular, can be a gentle and effective way to access the subconscious mind, helping young people overcome anxieties, fears, and phobias.

Why I Use Alternative Approaches

Traditional talk therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) are valuable techniques, but they often don’t align well with the neurodiverse mind. In contrast, hypnotherapy and NLP are more effective tools for many children and young people, especially those who think and process information differently. These approaches can bypass some of the barriers that traditional methods may encounter, leading to quicker and more lasting changes.

Supporting Talented and Gifted Children

I have worked with talented young individuals, helping them manage the pressures they face and enabling them to feel proud of their abilities. My goal is to empower them to pursue their goals and dreams with confidence and resilience.
